Wings also made me remember that it's what's inside that counts, not what you look like or how much money you have.
This book talks a lot about friendship. This book is about a girl named Roxanne And her sister Gayle who meet a girl named Liat who lives in the cursed house. The author did a good gob setting the seen in the 1980's.
Robin Freedman did an amazing job on a book about the 1980's, friendship, family, and the importance of being and excepting that you are who you are. Roxanne a girl who doesn't seem interesting shows that she has a big heart and can give hope. Roxanne throughout the story has to learn that being who you want to be is more important then being who everybody else wants you to be. I think that the acceptance of being who you are is important and the way that Freedman teaches that lesson is exceptional.
