In a time to be brave takes place in the Holocaust and world war 2. I enjoyed how close they are as friends

I liked this book. It could have been a little more exciting and action-packed. I saw that Kirkus Reviews said that it was, "A fine offering for readers not quite ready for Number the Stars." I have read Number the Stars many times, which might be why I felt that it was a little too young for my reading level. All that to say, I feel it would be a great book for lower-level readers.
