This book was really well written. It really, really gave first person perspective and it made me feel the way the characters felt. It is a very good book and very informational.
I read this book with my mom and it was very fun and intriguing. We couldn't stop reading it. I liked that they had to work around the crusaders. I liked that it was a girl who was modifying the rules with the support of her grandpa Solomon ben Isaac.
When you read this book you learn about Jewish people in Troyes, France in 1096. In this book,Elvina has to make her own choices.
It was a good book in theory, more like a nonfiction book than fiction. If it had a lot more action and maybe some more events, it would be a great book. If you are a person who likes historical fiction, like me, you will be disappointed.
a little confusing but OK
