When I saw this book, I thought it wouldn't be that great a book. But boy was I wrong! This book gave a glimpse of life with a younger sibling. It really made me love Penina, smile when Zozo was mentioned because of how great the author described them. I recommend this book to people who want a book of family and friendship.
I love this book!!! It's really good (even though Penina can be really snotty). I'm not trying to make her sound bad she's a really sweet girl (when she's not yelling that is :) . However, most of the time I get where she's coming from.
Penina Levine is a Potato Pancake was a really good book, but also dealt with not such "good" and "easy" topics, like sickness, death, and family dynamics. I liked how Penina and her friend support their teacher when she is going through a hard time, and how that helps Penina's best friend to be able to talk to Penina for the first time about harder parts of her life (don't want to give any spoilers!) The mom and grandma thing was really good too. Very realistic relationship. Look forward to reading the next one!
This book was terrible. It had no meaning. Do not bother. It is a book that made me want to vomit. Try it if you want but if I were you the book would be given to the less fortunate like my book.
It was an interesting book about the Chanukah story.
