This book was a little boring. It also went too fast. There was too much story at the beginning that didn't relate to the actual part where the hurricane came. There wasn't enough story and details where Gertie and her family are leaving and when the hurricane comes.

I liked when she tried to go back to see her Dad and her grandmother during the hurricane. It showed how much she cared about her family.

This book was an interesting book about a girl who had to leave her home when a hurricane came. She doesn't know what's going to happen when she doesn't take all of the things she loves and leaves New Orleans. Then she figures out how to help kids in New Orleans after the hurricane.

I really like this book. I think it would be good for anyone. It good .

I think this book was amazing and really showed me that even if something goes wrong like when the hurricane came they went to live with their Aunt and Uncle and they had to learn how their Aunt and Uncle celebrated the Jewish Holidays.
