I love dance so if you love dance I definitely recommend this book for you. At the beginning Allyssa is just getting her bat mitzvah and she is exited to get to go to dance more often like the rest of her dance class. Then suddenly Ellen her best friend gets sick and has to go to the hospital. Then when Ellen gets let out of the hospital she is empty on the inside and Ellen’s mom does not have the courage to help so Allyssa has to put dance and the nutcracker aside to help. When Alyssa visits her friend she will do an thing for her to be well again, this shows how much she cares about others.

This book made me feel that you should do things for friends even if it means not doing something that you like to do like ballet.

I liked this book a lot and it made me think about the thing teenagers have to do when juggling friends, school, religion, and their hobbies. I liked this book until its meh ending.

If you do ballet and you are jewish, this is the perfect book for you! This is an wonderful story about a girl who needs to sort out her priorities. Which is more important? Ballet, a jewish conformation class, or her very sick friend. I love this book and it made me think about if this could happen to me.
