This book is pretty good. It is fiction and history combined in one book. I was really excited to read this book because I love fiction books. If you like fiction books, this is the book for you. You will also like this book if you like history. I learned a lot of things about being Jewish and Jewish history. Enjoy!

Maria is a servant to a wealthy family, the Delgados, that is known for being Christian. She becomes friends with all of them, especially Angelica and Juan Pablo. She notices a few strange things, but says nothing. But when the people from the church ask her about the Delgados, what should she do? Lie to the heads of the church and defend her friends, or abandon her employers and friends to earn respect? This is an amazing book full of suspense, mystery, and a surprising act of heroism.

I loved this bool. Sometimes you might get really mad at Maria, the main character (i'm not going to say why, because I don't want to spoil it), but it is an excellent book. you MUST read it.
