The book’s “heroine” herself was immoral. When nearly all of a book’s characters are people who you wouldn’t want to meet in real life, including all but one of the main characters, you can’t really feel for them. I learned a little bit more about the Spanish Inquisition, but it still wasn’t worth the read.
This is one of my favorite books. I have read it 5 times in the past month. It really made me think about when you get to know a family really well, you start to treat them like family. You start to care about them, and keep them safe.
If you love exiting stories with lots of twists and turns, pick this book! The main character is named Maria and she must choose between what she knows is right and the thing her instincts are telling her. Also, Secrets in the House of Delgado is awesome to read more than once. Pick this book!
This book was so good! It was sort of a mystery. It was definitely suspenseful, so if you don't like those kinds of books don't read it but if you do...this is the book for you! It makes you really think about what life was like for jews back then. It makes me think if I were there, would I have been able to stop those horrible things? Read it. See if you like it. I know I did!
This is a great book that leaves you in suspense. You should definitely read this book!!!
