This is a very good Jewish baseball story. And it has nail-biting suspense. This is seriously a good GOOD book.

The book "All Star Season" by T.S. Yavin is a very intriging and truthful book, it shows the importance of family yet also has a fun aspect thrown in, Baseball! This story shows a different aspect of Jewdaism than most books are written in, the boys in the book are Orthodox, compared to what most kids are in books, reform or conservative. This book shows how two boys have to be flexible and miss baseball practice and games because they are Jewish, as I'm sure many of us have had to do with some activity or other. This book also shows that life doesn't always give you what you wish for, this book tells the story of how one kid deals with this.
