I took the time to read this book with my little brother. He really enjoyed it too. These adorable kids, Shoshi and Moshe are living in Russia with their mother and pet dragon. Yes, a pet dragon, and now I wish I could have a pet dragon. They travel to America in search of their father. There is a mystery behind his absence. He went there in search of a job many years ago and never returned and they had absolutely no correspondence from him this entire time. Going to America comes with its obstacles. For one, I don't think that pet dragons are something people are used to seeing. In fear that it could cause a major catastrophe, they have to hide their oversized pet somewhere while they get into America. From there the story just begins with many other obstacles and adventures in this new world. I bet you want to know if they ever found their father and if so what had he been up to? What happens to this loveable family and their dynamic pet? I recommend you read this wonderful book.
Just amazing!
There was no character growth. None of the people in the book changed one bit. That made it very boring because everybody stayed the exact same.
I think this was a really good book and I loved reading it. I think it was also a little bit strange. It is awesome and you can have many thoughts, I thought it was great. I loved this book and I have read it many times.
this book was just OK. i liked the characters and the dragon. i also liked shoshi and moshe's ideas to use matzo balls as baseballs.
