When I started reading this book, the format of it(the poems), it reminded me of Out Of The Dust by Karen Hesse.I loved how the plot had the good, the bad, AND the funny! This amazing book is the story of Edith, a girl who has eleven siblings. She lives in Baltimore, in the time of the Great Depression. This book is told through poetry that Edith wrote. I would recommend this anyone who likes historical fiction.
