Good if I was still 7

Review by aricat

3 months ago, when I selected this book, I looked at it and I laughed at the cover. I selected it without thinking about how many pages there were. 2 months ago, when I got it, I was like, "Whaaat?" So that night I read the whole thing. In 10 minutes. I know I selected "This book made me think about the importance of the family," but only because I couldn't select the phrase " This made me think more about how many pages there are. If you are going to select this book, please note: without pictures, this book would have 32 pages.

This book was so hilarious! The moment I started reading it I never wanted to end! The book is pure genius because of the comedy and how you learn about the Jewish Culture!

Mitzvah the Mutt takes place in a small town in modern times. Mr. Rubin, a pet shop owner, originally owned a dog named Mitzvah. When he moved to a new apartment complex they had a rule that no pets were allowed, so he had to give up Mitzvah. The Burger Family adopted Mitzvah, which was ironic because Mitzvah’s favorite food was hamburgers. The book, which is told from Mitzvah’s perspective, is very funny because Mitzvah does not understand some human words. Mitzvah finds it very strange that humans keep saying “woof, woof” to him. Read Mitzvah the Mutt to find about how he had a ball with Matzo balls! This book was an easy read filled with humor and comedy. I would recommend this book to children who like dogs and are curious about what they are thinking. by Max, age 11, Missouri
