Letters From Rifka

Review by BingoMan11

This book is about a girl traveling to America with her family who must go through a series of events to make it. It is about her family trying to flee Russia during the Holocaust. They are moving because the Russian army wants to force all men to be part of it and Rifka has many brothers. On their way to the US, Rifka writes the story of her journey in a book. Rifka gets separated from her family several times because she gets exposed to diseases. When she gets to the US, she sends the book to her cousin Tovah. This was a good historical fiction.

SO GOOD

Review by Golden

I loved this book. I keep reading it over and over. The worst part is that it ends! With the unexpected around every corner, I never get bored. I got it like, two years ago, read it twenty times, then lost it on my huge bookshelf. I just found it and reared it, and I' m so happy I found it!

This book was okay

Review by AlienInvasion

"Letters from Rifka" could be pretty interesting, but at times it could also be boring. I felt like the summary was a bit inaccurate, although I can' t say why without spoiling the book. It captures the basic plot, though. This was realistic fiction, but while everything could happen, one or two parts sound unlikely, and while I'm not an expert on immigration laws back then, quite possibly illegal, which I do not like.

Disapointed

I do not like books like this, written in letter form. If it was written regularly, I would love it! I would give this book 2.5 stars.
