Yasha is a Russian- American 13 year old trying for an identity, new friends, and tickets for the Mets. Very entertaining!

This is such a great book. This is a kid who is Jewish and Russian. He moves to Brighton and is made fun of for being Russian, but fits in because he is Jewish like a lot of people. His Bar Mitzvah requires him to do something to help out in the community. He decides to help out at the retirement home that his mom works at. He meets a man named Tom and they become friends. They are both Mets fans and they go to one of the World Series and the Mets win the World Series against the Red Sox (I was mad. I am a giant Red Sox fan).

Really cool and fun fldenfinetly read.
