I thought this was a fun read and and exciting adventure. Its hard to do all your school work AND study for your Bar Mitzvah! Pressure pressure! I do think though that this tension between Benji and Caleb was really just Benji admiring Caleb's strength and not necessarily romantic affection. Not EVERYTHING has to include the LGBTQ+++ whatever element. We are already beaten over the head with it everyday. Unfortunately, Caleb channeled his emotions into bullying, which is hard to overcome and Benji became his target, ending their friendship. Its hard when two friends and split up because of misplaced and misdirected emotions of normal puberty. Wolves in Washington State, huh? Echos of the Twilight Saga?
