Ellie’s Deli: In a Pickle! is a fun and heartwarming middle-grade novel by Lisa Greenwald. The story follows eleven-year-old Ellie Glantz, who loves helping others and solving problems. After saving her family’s deli in the first book, Ellie takes on a new challenge when her best friend’s cousin loses the venue for her bat mitzvah party. Ellie is determined to help, but balancing party planning, schoolwork, and friendships proves to be more difficult than she expected. One thing I enjoyed about this book was Ellie’s personality. She is caring, determined, and always willing to help others. Even when things become stressful, she keeps trying her best. The story also shows realistic challenges that many young readers can relate to, such as friendship problems, school pressure, and learning when to ask for help. The book is fast-paced and engaging, with plenty of humor and interesting characters.
Great book! Really enjoyed it
about a young girl trying to help so my style!
Fun book but didn’t really grasp my attention, what’s funny is I really only read the text messages
This is a great book! I think many kids can relate with struggling at school but not wanting to make a big deal out of it. One thing that wasn't so great was that I think this is the second book in the series, and I've never read the first. It's still a great book, though. YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THIS BOOK!
