Very good. I learned a lot of history. Even if you are already super into history, you will still learn. Loved this book.

I like how this book is exciting but also sad. I like how it's about lots of different characters though the bits about the different characters could have been longer. I think that all the characters that this book is about are in the same family. So overall, I liked this book.

This book is so good! It follows a Spanish Jewish family through generations, with the main character in each generation being a 12 year old girl. Each girl has different lives, with different struggles, but they are all proud of who they are. It’s a very good explanation of this history as well (so much more entertaining than history class). It’s also very interesting to see what was acceptable within families and communities in different times, and what changed between the places and times, as the family migrated several times. Overall, a very good book. Would definitely recommend (especially for 12 year olds)
