Such a good book. Multiple time periods. Shows the challenges that these four people face. A good book.
Across So Many Seas is a beautifully written and moving novel that follows many generations of a Spanish Jewish family, starting with their expulsion from Spain in 1492. You'll be totally absorbed in the linked stories of Benvenida, Reina, Alegra, and Paloma as they face upheavals in their homelands and within their families. You'll learn a lot about history and culture, including the Ladino language spoken by Sephardic Jews, which was so cool to me because I'm Sephardic. But the best part is the relatable characters and the way the story wraps up at the end! (You'll have to read and find out.)
It was a beautiful book that took place in four different places in time but in one jewish family. I couldn’t put it down until I finished reading it.
I loved this book, and wasn’t able to put it down until I finished reading it.
