This book is super-fun and super-serious at the same time, and in the most satisfying way. The fun part is that Max has two quarrelsome immortal beings on his shoulders, pestering him (and sometimes helping him) all the time. The serious part is that Max is 12 years old and might be sent on a dangerous mission in Nazi Germany. It's an action-packed, original story that will keep you turning pages (and will make you impatient for the sequel).

I love this book, it is so good! I like the adventure. You should read it.
