It vividly captures the experience of Danes during WWII and is very inspiring. (After reading the book I became obsessed with Denmark.) Bamse's family and most of the people in Copenhagen were helping Anton, Nahum the tailor, and the rest of the Copenhagen Jews; the courage of the ordinary Danes was inspiring because they risked their lives fighting in the resistance and it showed that not every non-Jew in WWII was a silent bystander or a Nazi. - Aviv, PJ Our Way Advisory Committee
