This book really was hard to read because it made me sad to see the family circus have to close because of the Nazis. The circus provided jobs and was like a family. And then, the father had to go to war and fight for Hitler. The main character, Irene, was very brave!

Absolutely incredible. One of my favorite books by far. It was so compelling, I couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day! Not that it's a short read, I read for hours on end. A great choice!

I liked this book because it is a story of how Irene survived the Holocaust and became a circus 🎪 performer.She became protected from the Nazi.I also like the twist ending.
