This is the best book I have ever read.

It was hard to know what would happen and I liked that. The book was very good. And I liked how it is a true story.

“Hidden on the High Wire” was a really good book in which a Jewish family survives World War Two. It is very scary and sad at some parts. My favorite part was when the circus leader, Mr. Althoff, agreed to keep Irene and her family safe. The family helps the circus and performs there while hiding. Irene is a high wire walker. She is 12, and she can walk, spin, jump rope, and lie down on the rope! I also learned about a circus trick called the Risley act , where performers jungle other performers on their feet. I watched some videos of it. It’s really cool! I think that it is also really awesome that the book is a true story. The main character, Irene, died one year after I was born. My parents could have met her! All the circuses in the book are also real. “Hidden on the High Wire” is an awesome book about the struggle to survive during WWII.

I loved this book. It is a book about a Jewish girl named Irene. Irene is the high wire girl at the Lorch Family Circus. The Nazis come and shut down their circus, and Irene’s dad gets drafted into Hitler’s army. Irene goes to a circus and asks the director to let her be a performer. He says yes. She performs and has adventures, but misses her dad. I can’t tell you what happens next. You’ll have to read the book to find out! It is a little heavy, but that’s expected for Holocaust books. You should get Hidden on the High Wire!
