I love how competitive and original Salman (the main character) is. A Boy from Bahgdad is a compelling read and I greatly enjoyed it. Would recommend!

My favorite part was the market in Yaffo. It is an engrossing story.

I learned that Iraqi Jews had to live in tents when they got to Israel. At the end of the book, salmon is in a swimming race in front of his parents.
