It is great, Ziva is very brave, but it is really sad toward the end.

This beautifully written, moving story takes place in Khazaria, a fabled Jewish kingdom in the modern day Caspian Sea area. Ziva will do literally anything to help her brother Pesah to stay alive and be healed from leprosy, including going off on a dangerous journey to a legendary city where the Angel of Death cannot go. Ziva is one of the most courageous, unstoppable characters I've ever met in a book, but she discovers that even her strong will can't accomplish everything. This is a great story for all lovers of fantasy! (Just be warned if you're easily grossed out: it includes details about leprosy.)

an amazing book, wowed me away, the plot was phenomenal, excellent describing words, and the characters were vivid in my mind.

perfect adventure about saving the people you love. and fighting angels.

Liked that there were animals in the book and that Ziva never gave up on her brother.
