The first chapter is quite funny because it says that the boy jumped out of the window onto a safety fire trampoline because there was a fire.
Jordan, the main character, faces a lot of adventures: asthma attacks, bullying, and really rude teachers. It’s really interesting and very funny at times as he describes going back forth between good classes and bad classes. I liked this book because it’s very funny and it sucks you in. It was really well written and if you like snakes, you’ll love this book!
THE BOY WHO FAILED SHOW AND TELL is an amazing book! Each other year Jordan hates his teacher and loves his teacher. The pattern says that he will hate his forth grade teacher and it's correct he hate's her. He has really bad asthma which is hard in class. Jordan plays the drums. But worst of all he brings in his pet snake for show and tell and he gets into a little fight and "accidentally" calls someone an idiot. Jordan sadly has to leave his school but he has a friend their at least. The worst part is his new teacher is literally named Miss Tuff. She sounds nice and she is. He makes a friend named Peter and Jordan's snake has babies and they name one together J.P snake for John Paul the pope and Jordan Peter. One day his teacher Miss Tuff asked Jonathan, Marks, Joey, Chablis, and Jordan "would you boys like to perform a few skits for the class?" They all agree yes and it goes incredible. But will his baseball season end well will his field day end well? Read the book and find out!!!
9-year old’s review: I loved the book – it was very funny and interesting. There is a boy named Jordan: he plays the drums, he has asthma, and he has a snake – the snake situation gets complicated. Jordan taught me to stand up for myself and to find the books that you enjoy reading. He also taught me not to goof off or you will be moved to a new school. 6-year old’s review: In my opinion, it was very funny because one of the characters in the book says: “What do you think I am doing, reading a newspaper or something?!” when Jordan was playing tug-of-war. I like when Jordan stood up to a bully and hit him with a lunchbox. Jordan is also very hairy and one of his nicknames is “monkey arms.” I like that Jordan is learning to play the drums and that he is getting better. He also taught me that reading is cool.
it's not my favorite but overall it's good.
