Not my favorite, but written nicely. It is a very realistic book.
It was good; i read chapter 1;it was great!!!
This is my favorite PJ Our Way selection so far. This book is about growing up Jewish in the USSR. The book hilariously funny but also sadly true. I share many of the similar memories as those described in the book because I also grew up behind the Iron Curtain. Reading this book, I kept thinking how very different our childhood in the USSR used to be from the childhood Jewish kids have in America. I told my daughter that she would likely have many questions after reading this book. I want her to ask me these questions so that I can begin telling her the stories of my childhood. You should definitely get this book, especially if you have family members who grew up in the USSR. -My Mama🦋
This book did not really catch my atttention because it did not have an interesting storyline in my opinion. It did give a good perspective on communist Russia during the Cold War.
It's just bad. I do not recommend this book at all.
