This might be my favorite book!
This book is amazing 🤩 but I feel like it was way to short ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was an amazing book including listening about what three different girls are experiencing through out the Holocausts and the explosion of Chernobyl atomic power station.
WAY TOO SHORT!!!
This book is must-read for anyone 11+. It is the best book I have ever read! I made me laugh, it made me cry, and it is amazingly written. It is told from 3 perspectives, Oksana and Valentina in 1986 and Rifka in 1941. The different perspectives alternate every chapter. Oksana and Valentina are living in Pripyat at the time of the Chernobyl disaster. Both of the fathers worked at the nuclear power plant and were on duty at the time of the disaster. More things happen and the 2 girls find themselves alone on a train to Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) to stay with Valentina's grandmother, whom Valentina has never met. Rifka is living in Kiev when she has to leave without out her mother and 3 baby brothers to escape the Germans during WW2. This is a great book about friendship, love, and family. This book is geared towards older readers (11+) and is pretty sad at parts. (Warning: There is physical abuse in this book) Thanks for reading and I hope you read this book!
