Blackbird Girls is about two girls Oksana and Valentina and how once they were enemies and became friends after the Chernobyl explosion when they had to move to Leningrad to stay with Valentina's grandmother. This book expresses the power of friendship. Absolutely recommend it.

GOOD

Even though there are only 5 stars, I would give it 5+! This book made me want to learn more about Chernobyl. I learned that there is still a zone that you're not allowed to go in even NOW!! This book is historical fiction, so it does teach you some stuff to. I think it's cool how the girls were enemies at first, and then they became best friends. There were some times when I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! And, WHYYYY???

I recommend this book if you like adventure, historical fiction, or friendship.
