I love the way that 37days at sea describes sea voyages from boarding a boat to the dock and the challenges.
A lovely book, and amazing, smooth, blend of poetry and realistic fiction, I recommend to people into poetry, realistic fiction, holocaust related books, and amazing books😌.
This is a book about the voyage of the MS St. Louis, told by Ruthie, a Jewish girl who left Germany with her family. The boat is headed to Cuba, but by the time they arrive in Cuba, they are not allowed to enter. The story shows that Ruthie is scared, brave, and misses her grandma.
There was a lot of adventure things in this but it was worth it to learn all of the stories
I know a lot about the M.S. saint louis and have read several books about it. There were nazis in the crew as firemen(people that put out fires),and a real girl named ruthie was on the ship. The passengers were eventually divided among Holland, England,France, and Switzerland, after being rejected at America and Cuba. Some of the refugees that made it to France and England were killed in the war. There was also a mutiny but it failed.
