This is a really good book. I recommend it to people that like mystery and detective books
This book was well written and interesting, but I eventually got bored and gave up. I learned how to do some fun codes and ciphers.
How I Became a Spy By Deborah Hopkinson 2019 Appropriate for middle readers Setting: London, WWII How I Became a Spy is a book about a British kid named Bertie who is a volunteer for the American army during World War II. Bertie finds a coded notebook on one of his scouting missions and decodes it with some of his friends. This book has a very slow start, it was 3/4s into the book before the action started. I had to push myself through the beginning but the last quarter was great. Be cautious and skip the epilogue if you don’t like romance (I don’t). This book is for people who like ciphers and Sherlock Holmes. Izzy out!
