princess dolls was in amazing book about two girls who are friends and after one of them (Ester) get a cool doll the other one (Michi) feels left out. It takes place in world war two and since michi family is japanese hard things are happening to them

Very interesting book about the timing of wwII and what happened to friends at that hard time in canada
