This was a great book, but I think it's definently in the "older readers" category.
This is a heartwarming, funny story that I really enjoyed. It follows a girl named Bea and her best friend Frankie, who have been so excited to have their first sleepaway camp experience together at Camp Shalom. But then, Frankie gets in to horse camp, much to Bea's horror at the thought that they won't be at Camp together, because her parents can not afford horse camp like Frankie's family can. On the bus to Camp Shalom, Bea meets Reagen, and they become fast friends. But when she gets to camp, she finds lots of problems she had not anticapeded, such as bullies in the cabin who seem to be out to get her. Bea has a crazy camp adventure ahead of her, with new friends, enemies and an amazing summer, though it might not be exactly as she planned. I LOVED this book
