frightining
I usually am nervous about reading Holocaust type books, but this comic style graphic novel was at a good level. It was easy to read and focused on a positive story about a young boy, not the sad parts. I also liked that it was a true story.
I liked it but it was a little too short
This book is about a boy named Maurice who is running from the Nazis. He ends up in a Jamaican camp where he learns from Jewish professors. Then he goes to high school and gets in the final class, even though it is his first year. He sends a letter to a Canadian school to see if he can get into college. This was a good book and if you want to find out what happens read this book!
This book made me sad and hopeful
