This book is a book about Lauren, a middle school girl who has a big talent of singing. Lauren and her friend Tara both do singing. But.. when they both enter for the school play only one of them gets the role as the main character. I would recommend this book for 9 year old's. I would give this 5 stars but It was too easy for me. You can also read this is just a test. It is another book with the main character as laurens brother

I loved this book so much and I would recommend it to anyone who sometimes feels left out or like they don't belong but they want to!

I definitely recommend this book! It is about a Chinese Jewish girl named Lauren. Her and her friend Tara aren’t in any classes together this year, so they try out for the school play so they can be together. But when the perfect, all-American looking Tara gets the main part and Lauren gets put in the ensemble, their friendship is in jeopardy. Mrs. Tyndall, the play director, explains that Lauren doesn’t look American enough. Will Lauren be able to fix their problems, or will their friendship be over?
