Everyone should read

This book is about a Chinese girl who grew up in Pleasant Valley, USA. She wants to be in a play her school is doing, and auditions for the main role. She does amazing but the teacher says she doesn't look "American enough". Will she be able to prove herself? Find out in this amazing novel!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book, I honestly couldn't put it down. It was sweet and heartfelt, and also talked about important topics, which I thought was really interesting. It was relatable and realistic. I would totally recommend it!

good book

This is a really good book! I highly recommend this book to people who like stories about plays and friendships. The main character is Lauren who has a great voice. Her best friend Tara suggests that they should sing in the school play. Lauren really wants to be the lead because Tara always gets the lead in everything. When the teacher supervising the play called Miss Tyndall chooses Tara for the lead, she explains to Lauren that she doesn't look American enough. Lauren doesn't want to hang out with Tara like she used to, but as things go on, a theatre ghost seems to be haunting their school theatre. Could things get any worse? Read this book to find out!
