I really liked this book. It has a mix of drama, friendship, acting, singing, and comedy! Lauren and her friends use their voices and in general are just awesome!👏 🎭💜

Not your all American girl was pretty good if you enjoy middle grade novels. It showed how racist the school could be. Lauren scored an ensemble role as a result of her A+ performance- who got the leading role? Her white blonde, BFF, Tara. So unfair! Poor Lauren wants to prove herself- but how? Hula-Hooping! Lauren is a normal kid, who makes cool buttons. But now, she feels the need to be heard. Will Lauren find her voice and be heard? Or stay forever in the shadows?
