I thought this book was pretty good FOR IT'S LENGTH. It made good use of the 110 pages it was, but it was a very quick read. I really like the concept and the main character was AWESOME. I love reading about strong females, I just wish this book was longer because a lot of things felt like they really weren't elaborated on.
I really liked the book. I liked that it was plausible that it happened in real life. It really held my attention and my brother's attention. It was always exciting to see what happened. I liked that Batya kept trying to follow her dreams despite being told no many times.
This book was a very nice read, though not my favorite. Batya proved that girls could do the same as anyone, and despite being told not to she went off to carve. I really like that Batya was a mischief-maker but yet a truthful girl who just wanted to fight for her dream. Remember, acting differently, or being unusual doesn't mean you're bad and Batya proved just that. Enjoy the read!
This book was a very good book and I would recommend it.
I like how Batya snuck off and carved despite being told not to do so.
