It’sa great book.

It was a good book to read, but I would have liked it to have been longer.

the book was a good concept but some parts weren't written in a good way also it was a short book but overall a good book

It was pretty good. Not the best, and I've read much better books. Though I did enjoy it.

This book takes place in America and Russia. Batya yearns to carve but the rules say no. In Russia, Batya cannot carve, but after a close run-in with a porogom, Batya's dad decides that they must immigrate to America for safety. Batya is then able to try to become a carver like her dad.
