I like how Batya cared about Sarah and trying to make her feel better about being deaf. Batya is brave and couragous. For anyone who has not read The Woodcarvers Daughter, you need to read this book. I totally recommend it.
It was really really really good!!!
Thus book was better than I thought it was gonna be. Kinda girly though.
I read it over a couple of times! it was really very good!
This book is about a girl named Batya who moves from Russia to America. Her father is a woodcarver, and she wants to be one too. But she's not allowed to in Russia, because she's a girl. Will it be different in America? To find out, read "The Woodcarver's Daughter" by Yona Zeldis McDonough!
