I found this book very inspiring: Vivy is autistic but it doesn't stop her from pursuing her dream to be a pitcher on a baseball team. It is an interesting read because it's written as letters between Vivy and a famous baseball player.
I really like this book. Vivy ,an autistic girl is determined to pitch in a baseball team. She starts to write to VJ Capello for a homework assignment, and can't stop writing back! I couldn't stop reading Get a Grip Vivy Cohen. I was really sad when it was over.
I don't know that much about baseball but that didn't stop me from being invested in Vivy's journey as she deterimnedly pursues her dreams to pitch on a team. The book is written entirely in the format of letters and emails Vivy and her hero VJ write to each other. A good book about following your dreams and overcoming challenges!
Get a Grip Vivy Cohen is a great book by Sarah Kapit. It is about a girl named Vivy who has autism and LOVES baseball. She faces challenges with baseball, though, because a lot of people don't think a girl- especially an autistic one- should play baseball. I really recommend this book for anyone who wants a good read.
Vivy wants to play baseball, but her mom is worried about her because she is the only girl and she has autism. She writes to her favorite baseball player for advice. She does not expect him to answer, but he does. Read the book to find out more.
