This is a very good book about an autistic girl who wants to play baseball. I liked it because she wouldn’t give up despite her differences and challenges. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Vivy is a girl with autism and she loves baseball. Her mom is protective of her and takes some convincing to let her allow Vivy to play real baseball, not just catch with her brother. Through letters and e-mails to and from her favorite baseball pitcher, Vivy shares how she got from shy kid with autism to baseball player— not softball, because “the ball is too big to throw a good knuckleball.” I would definitely recommend this book, even if you don’t like sports.
