This book brought me into it. It has the perfect mix of realistic fiction, and fantasy. I recommend it for all ages

it is an amazing book ! some where inbtween historic fiction and fantisy. Anya lives in keiven Russ which is what russia was when there where vikings in like 500 ce to like 750 ce. Anya is the only jewish girl in her little town. the czar promised every family that they wouldn’t have to pay taxes if a man from that family went to war. so anya’s dad went to war , but the new magistrate claims that this doesn’t apply to jewish families and is trying to force them out of their home. so that a magic fool family can live there. i recomend for anyone into history, mythology or magic .
