I loved Anya and the Dragon! Its amazing! What I Like About This Book: I love how magic was represented in this book. Although personally I think fool magic didn't fit with the theme of the rest of the magic. I liked how different creatures use magic differently, and the creatures were mostly from old wives tales. I love how every person has there own goal, and how it puts them together. I thought the fool family was vary funny. What I Dislike About This Book: I don't like how dragon blood works, it's a good plot point, but the book didn't fully explain what makes it work that way. Do dragons age really slow or something? It doesn't make sense. Also the ending with the magistrate was good, but was slightly abrupt, and should have clarified more. Other Notes: I like how the story was put together, it was slightly suspenseful, but really just a great page turner! The characters were very interconnected, and the book was the perfect length. I would recommend this book.
I know I shouldn't be rating this book on the quality of the pages, but my copy has white WHITE pages that are super smooth and I LOVE THEM!!!!! The book itself was good. I like I Anya stands up against Sigurd, and becomes unlikely friends with Ivan (who, under different circumstances, could have been her enemy). Okay, yes, the end was very sad, but I love the story of how Kin got Hakon. So sweet! I love the theme where magic threads are just hanging in the air, and if you pull on them, POOF. Magic! Very good book! I give it 5 stars! Woo-hoo!
I think this book is scary because a dragon tried to destroy their village and Anya got lost in a witches house.
I loved how interesting it was, the amount of detail, added so much to the story! It made it so much fun to read. Recommend this to kids who absolutely love dragons, fantasy, and magic. Very nice, and overall amazing! There were so many parts that were just...WOW!!! I really liked it, and I do hope you like it too!!!
It was fun and interesting.
