I liked the characters and the way it was a serious story. The, "we're going to lose our house" thing, is a little old.

you think its going to be good but it feels like a punishment to read

This is one of my all-time favorites and I have read it at least twice. By now it has a sequel and I've read that too. The sequel is called Anya and the nightingale.

This was a very good book. This book was filled with magic, which I've always loved.

I thought the book was very interesting. It was suspenseful and magical. The book has a lot of action. People who like action,magic,and suspense will certainly like this book.
