This is an amazing fantasy adventure set in an alternate Eastern Europe. It alternates between funny interactions between spunky, resourceful Anya and her goofy friend Ivan (the son of a professional fool) and suspense: how will Anya raise money to save her family's home without putting her new dragon friend Hakon in harm's way? Plus, if you know and love goats, the writer does too!
This is the first book in the series and I liked it so much that I went looking for the second one in the library.
I say for younger readers it’s actually a little bit creepy and even I found it a little creepy and I never really finish the book not a great book for young readers
Good book about a girl who makes friends with a dragon hunter and wants to help but then makes friends with the dragon
Also, I forgot to put this in my last review, but if you really like this book, there's a second one called "Anya and the Nightengale."
