This book was a weird book. I give it a 4 star because it was half about donuts and half about a completion called "Can you Cut It?”. If you have read Sydney A. Frankel’s Summer Mix up its worth it. These books have the same parts to it. Sydney wanted to go into a reading program and her friend Maggie went to a dance program. But Sydney told her mom that she went to the dance program, and so Sydney went out of her comfort-zone (but she was comfortable reading). In The Donut King, Tris went out of this comfort-zone too!
If you like to cook and you like doughnuts, this book is perfect for you! This small town but suspenseful story, full of ups and downs, is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. You should definitely read this book. :)
Great book! Love the doughnut theme! I love baking
I definitely recommend this book! If you like cooking shows, books about kids, baking, donuts, saving towns, realistic fiction books, and maybe even have your own business, you will definitely like this book! It is about a boy named Tris who's town, Petersville, NY, is in danger of disappearing. He and his friend Josh run this donut shop called "The Doughnut Stop." Their donuts have a really high demand and they keep running out. Tris' only way to fix all the problems is to go on a cooking show called "Can You Cut It?" Can he win the show and save everything, or will he lose the show and lose it all? To find out, read "The Doughnut King" by Jessie Janowitz!
An amazing sequel to "The Donut Fix" where Tristan has to find a way to save his donut stand and..............his town. Luckily he finds a way to do so.............a way he may have never imagined.
