This book opened up my son to my love of klezmere music. We read a novel together each night usually 2 chapters per night. This was another book my son was begging for more. We even looked up the dings mentioned on YouTube and talked about the various instruments and life lessons of the characters. My son attends an arts magnet school so we compared his performance experiences with the characters. All around this book was great for many reasons.

did not love it, mainly because I don't like music much. I recommend this book for people who like music.
