Stay hidden, or be the hidden. Great book for all!

Review by BusDriverBuggie5

Elsa is just a regular kid like all others, until one night, her life is uplifted and changed by her grandmother, Dounia's, story. Dounia was just like Elsa, until the Nazis appeared in France to harm all Jewish people. Dounia's life was put at great risk, as her parents hid her multiple times to avoid getting sent to a camp. But one night, Dounia's house is knocked on by several men. Dounia's parents were gone. But not Dounia. Learn/read about how Dounia stayed alive in the uncertain times, and how she became a healthy grandmother to Elsa. I recommend this book to all Jewish kids, because this book really shows, even through fictional characters, the importance of how the Jews escaped, and lived through such harsh times. Dounia, Elsa, and etc. are all fictional, but we still carry their hearts with us today as we still remember this unfortunate event. This book gets sad at a few points, but is very heart meaningful, and really shows the true meaning of the Nazi invasion. Read Away!

Hidden - Review by Elisabeth

Review by readabook2042

Hidden is a great book. It is a graphic novel about Dounia, who is a grandmother, telling her story about herself as a little girl in France living through the Holocaust. Her parents were taken away and she had to hide from the Nazis. This is a great work of historical fiction. Thank you for reading this review.
