this book makes you feel like your really in the past with the the family in the book!
I thought this would be a regular story but I loved it. The setting in Canada, the family story, the ending. All beautiful and nice, in a sad and happy way, all at the same time.
I had never read a book that was based in Canada before so it was interesting to learn a bit more about it. It was special and beautiful. Issac is a great brother and has such an interesting and painful past. Rosetta is curious, kind, and unique. It gave an interesting point of view from a family that originally had two sisters but then adopted an even older brother. This book is so beautiful and meaningful. An amazing story!
I've read a lot of war-related novels, especially ones about the Holocaust, or from around that time. I think that this book was really sweet, and it had a great message. I was confused because of what was written on the back. It says that her name was Rosetta Wolf, and she was 15 years old. In the book it says that her name was Rosetta Wolfson and she was 12 years old. Or something along those lines. All in all, amazing story!
I really enjoyed this book! I love reading World War Two books, but was surprised war was not a huge topic of this book, though it was very interesting. I could really feel how it was living there with Rosetta. It was a quick read for me, but a GREAT BOOK! I would definitely recommend this book.
