I loved this book. It's one of my favorite chapter books. I never wanted to stop reading, I always wanted to find out what would happen next.
The book never hooked me. It was SO annoying that on the back it says “can Nona green save the world?” But the name of the book is “Nona green saves the world”! And I never finished it because it wasn’t interesting AT ALL.
This fun (and funny) adventure story features Noah, a socially awkward middle school kid who loves film making (he never goes anywhere without his head mounted camera), but instead of sending him to film camp like he wants, his parents send him to the local Camp Challah, along with his sister (who can't stand him) and a new kid at his school (who tolerates him). Meanwhile, his grandfather--who's over 90 and might be losing his memory--gets him involved in a scheme to save the world, with the help of his carrier pigeon Sal and fellow World War II veteran George. You'll laugh a lot, and sometimes roll your eyes, and maybe even think Camp Challah isn't so bad after all (some of the activities even sound good).
The book was interesting but I didn't like the part with the pigeons. I did like the characters and the plot. Some parts in the end were a little strange. Overall, I find this book interesting and strange at the same time.
Very humorous and exciting!
